RCD introduced the first and only
replacement spindle kit on the market today for the 88-98 6-lug Chevy/GMC!
They took their unique spindle technology from the new body style (99+)
Chevy/GMC kits and put it into the early (88-98) suspension platform.
"New Tricks for Old Dogs!" What this means is that you do not
have to modify the frame of the vehicle to lower down the upper control
arms, they stay in the stock location. Also, the one piece cross-members
for the lower control arms are utilized creating an ultra stout lower
sub-frame re-enforced with 304 Polished Stainless Steel Twin-Link
Anti-Compression Struts. Of course Billet Steel Sway bar links and
Bilstein 5100 Series Shock absorbers are standard.

will not work on 88-95 models equipped with spindle mounted front ABS
sensor. RCD replacement spindles are developed off of 1995 & later
hub mounted ABS system.

Rough
Country's 88-98 2- 3" suspension lift kit comes complete with
torsion bar adjusters, a-arms, brake lines, cross braces & hardware plus 4 Heckethorn shocks.
Very minor modifications are required to install. Run 33x12.50
tires on stock rims.

First introduced in 1988, these lifts
are still known as the GM systems to have. Lowering the factory upper
and lower control arms in relation to the frame brings ride height up.
By keeping the factory control arms and torsion bars, you retain stock
alignment geometry and ride quality. Note that both systems have a
2" height range. Front vehicle height is determined by torsion
bar adjustment.
The front differential assembly is also
lowered to keep CV axle angles in check. This is accomplished by using
two, one-piece tubular crossmembers that span from frame rail to frame
rail. Superlift's new control arm brackets tie into these cross
members
along with "kicker" braces to form an exceptionally strong
assembly.
The truck steers via a new
"dropped" centerlink that keeps the tie rods in phase with
the lower control arms. Two greasable stabilizing links regulate
centerlink movement and reduce the load and stress transmitted to the
pitman and idler arms.
Superlift's lift method
does not increase front track width or require the front differential
housing to be trimmed as is the case with most replacement knuckle
systems.

Skyjacker's 2.5"
lifts retain factory torsion bars and include longer control
arms, differential drop brackets & rear add-a-leafs.
This increases front wheel travel to
allow for 285/75R/16 tires. New differential brackets and
A-arm drop brackets relieve wear and tear on the upper
ball joints.

4.5-6" lift for 88-98 models feature new differential drop brackets
and A-arm drop brackets, center steering stabilizer link &
stabilizer arm, lower differential skid plate, DOT stainless steel
braided brake lines, hardware & poly bushings. 1988 & up models
with Autotrack all wheel drive must replace front driveshaft
assembly. Available with rear block or leaf springs.
