The 1999 models share the same suspension concept with the 1988-98 year model trucks, but none of the components are interchangeable. Superlift uses the same proven lift method. The factory upper and lower control arms are lowered in relation to the frame which brings ride height up. By keeping the factory control arms and torsion bars, we are able to retain stock alignment geometry & ride quality.

The front differential assembly is also lowered to keep CV axle angles in check. This is accomplished by using two, one-piece tubular crossmembers that span from frame rail-to-frame rail. Superlift's new control arm brackets tie into these crossmembers along with "kicker" braces to form an exceptionally strong assembly.

The truck steers through a centerlink. Bracketry lowers the factory centerlink to keep the tie rods in phase with the lower control arms. A greaseable stabilizing link regulates centerliink movement and reduces the load and stress transmitted to the pitman and idler arms.

Superlift recommends nothing larger than a 12" (actual) wide, 36" tall tire mounted on a 10" wide wheel be used for anything other than exhibition or show.

Front track is NOT increased; CV axle angles remain within stock spec's; allows the use of most 16" 6-lug wheels w/standard offset; special wheels are not required & vehicle can be run with stock tire & wheel combo; dual front shocks and hoops are included.

Skyjacker's lift kits for the 01-07 K1500HD & K2500HD Silverado/Sierra do not require a replacement front drive shaft for autotrac. The installation is reversible, a feature few other lifts have.

No drive shaft change required for Autotrac
Will not fit vehicles with Autoride or Quadrasteer

01-08 2500HD 6" Performance System
The first HD system to hit the dirt was Fabtech's 6" system clearing 35" tall tires. Lift is accomplished via one-piece cast drop down steering knuckles attaching to heavy-duty 1/4" thick, high arched lower control arm crossmembers with an integrated differential skid plate. Front and rear crossmembers are connected via tubular support tubes to provide additional front suspension rigidity.

01-08 2500HD 8" Performance System
The 8" system boast the same features as the 6" HD system but with more lift and super trick upper tubular control arms. The new upper control arms feature integrated multiple shock mounting tabs should you desire the optional dual shock system, for the ultimate in dampening capabilities. New style steering knuckles have been designed to reduce track width as compared to early model kits. Rear lift is accomplished via a 4" block and add a leaf system with rear bump stop brackets. Requires welding, exhaust & recommended front drive shaft modification. Designed to clear 37" tires.

01-08 2500HD 9" Coilover Conversion System
This cutting edge system eliminates the factory torsion bar assembly replacing them with a coilover shock configuration.  Included in the system is replacement extended length upper tubular control arms and lower plated and boxed style control arms to properly support the load of the Dirt Logic 4.0 coilover shock.  The new control arms feature Delrin frame bushings with 1" Uniballs in the upper arms and heavy duty ball joint in the lower arms. Control arms are 1" longer than stock and will provide 12" of wheel travel.  Extended length front axle shafts also included. To compensate for the increased track width Fabtech includes 1" per side reduced offset steering knuckles.  The kit also includes Dirt Logic shock systems. Install requires welding. New driveshaft is recommended. Recommend 35x12.50R17 with 17x8 5" BS. 

TECH NOTE: 6.0L vehicles must have the factory front drive shaft converted to CV style front drive shaft.

By using the combination new extended spindles and a one-piece sub-frame the amount of brackets and pieces required has been more than cut in half.
