The suspension on these mid-size vehicles is basically an enlarged version of the full size: upper & lower control arms with torsion bars. Factory torsion bars will handle basically all off-road situations and yield a superior ride compared to most heavier rated aftermarket bars.

The Superlift front 2" lift is achieved with new torsion bar adjuster arms on standard S10's. These attach to the rear end of the torsion bars and this is what loads the bars and determines vehicle ride height. Unless the factory upper control arms are replaced, they will continuously "top out" creating a harsh ride and accelerated ball joint wear. Replacement upper control arms cure the suspension travel and component wear problems making realignment possible.

In 1995 GM introduced the ZR2 off-road package on the Blazer and Sonoma. Superlift's 6" system features heavy-duty drop brackets that lower the control arms, differential and steering so all the steering geometry and CV axle angles remain within factory specifications.

The new 6" F.I.T. Series lift system for 95-03 S-Series Pickup, Blazer & Jimmy without the ZR2/Highrider features Superlift's Frame Integrated Technology (F.I.T.) and elevates lifted vehicle performance to the next level. Laser-cut bracketry lowers the factory upper & lower control arms a full 6". Both front & rear legs of each upper control arm are captured by a single, beefy bracket then additionally strengthened with crossmembers. Three full-width, one-piece frame crossmembers anchor the upper & lower control arms. Rigidity is further increased by a unique belly-pan that connects the two lower control arm crossmembers. The belly-pan mates to the crossmembers via an interlocking "dovetail" fit, then secured with countersunk bolts. 

A new "dropped" centerlink keeps tie rod geometry in check. Superlift's proven Centerlink Stabilizing System supports the centerlink to prevent premature pitman and idler arm wear. Some manufacturers use longer tie-rod assemblies which create severe toe angle changes as the suspension cycles. Front CV axle angles are addressed by lowering the differential a full 5.5".

Superlift maintains factory travel specifications on both front and rear. 6" of rear lift is achieved by relocating the leaf springs from bottom to top of axle. 

Tire: 33x10.50 tire (up to 32.7" actual diameter with 5.5" to 6" backspace wheel OR 275/70R (up to 32.4" actual diameter) with 5" backspace.
Wheel: 8" wide wheel that is 15" to 17" in diameter. Most S-series vehicles are factory equipped with 7" wide wheels with 6" backspacing. Reducing backspacing moves the tire/wheel outboard which increases track width and decreases clearance when turning.

Special puller tool recommended to load/unload torsion bars. Minor welding is required.

Trail Master 5" S-Series lift kit has silver vein powder coating for good looks and durability. Differential drop bracketry helps maintain OE C.V. joint angles. Tie-rod, pinion and driveshaft angles all remain within OE specs. Utilizes OE control arms, ball joints, leaf springs and torsion bars. Includes new steering center link tie-rod extensions. Heavy duty grade 8 hardware and shocks complete the package. 31x10.50" diameter tires recommended. Wheel change not required.

These lifts are NOT recommended for extended cab/ZR5 or crew cab models. They will NOT fit ZR2/Highrider models.

The Rough Country lift kit includes front upper control arms with newly redesigned ball joint mounting location for improved ball joint operating angle, ball joints, poly bushings, torsion bar adjuster keys, rear shackles & 4 Heckethorn shocks. Shock boots not included. 

Fits 31" tires with minor trimming of fender well.
