Rocky Mountain Suspension Products, Hummer H2 suspension lift kits

Fabtech used their proven knuckle and crossmember technology for a solid foundation for the H2 system but have gone to the next level with a multitude of suspension features & options. Newly designed lower crossmembers provide attachment points for the included 1/4" thick steel differential skid plate or the optional full IFS skid plate. Front differential and control arm geometry has been set to allow maximum articulation and travel. Rear crossmember impact struts provide additional suspension stability. To properly address the H2's fulltime transfer case we include a CV style front driveshaft with this system to provide smooth driveline operation. Ride height has been increased to 6" over stock for clearance of 40/1350R17 or a 355/65R18 tires on a 10" wide wheel with 4-5/8" back spacing. Rear lift is accomplished with either an extended coil spring or air ride spacer system.

Extra large diameter replacement Tie Rod assemblies resist bending and breakage when running large tires offroad. Directly replaces OE units and attaches to the stock centerlink, with Fabtech suspension.

Fabtech Technical Note: The 2005-06 Rear Air Bag model H2 Hummer SUV's are coming equipped with a Non-Adjustable Ride Height Sensor. The K5001 will not work on these vehicles. At the current time, Fabtech does not make a kit for the 2005-06 H2 Hummers with rear air bag suspension. K5001 is only approved for the 2003-04 models that have the Adjustable Ride Height Sensors.

The Hummer H2 kit was developed using a 37" tire on a 17X10 wheel with 5.0" of backspacing. Optional wheel and tire size is a 39.5x15R20 on a 20x9.5" wheel with 6.0" backspacing. Installation of this system does not allow the re-use of O.E. factory wheels

Tech Notice 9/26/07 - GM made some running changes to the air spring equipped H2. To accommodate these changes all Rancho H2 kits now contain new rear height sensor links and re-designed air spring spacers.

The H2 utilizes the same front torsion bar / control arm suspension concept that GM introduced in 1988. Superlift chose to use their proven bracket style lift method instead of replacement knuckles primarily because using knuckles on the H2 creates a substantial increase in tire track width. The Superlift system lowers the factory upper and lower control arms in relation to the frame which brings ride height up. By keeping the factory control arms and torsion bars, stock alignment geometry and ride quality is maintained.

Superlift's new control arm brackets tie into crossmembers that span the distance between each frame rail to form an exceptionally strong assembly. The front differential assembly is also lowered a full 6" so CV axle angles are kept stock.

Steering linkage geometry is addressed by relocating the factory centerlink which keeps the tie rods in phase with the lower control arms. A greaseable stabilizing link regulates centerlink movement and reduces the load and stress transmitted to the pitman and idler arms.

The H2 factory rear suspension is either coil spring or air spring. Superlift provides 5" of rear lift with either new coils or spacers for H2s with factory air springs. The system also includes all necessary relocation hardware for the rear link-arms and track bar.

CV-type front driveshaft is required to accommodate the H2s full-time 4WD and provide smooth, vibration-free operation. Driveshaft is sold separately.

Create Commotion in a High Rollin' Hummer

From a notion to motion, Skyjacker delivers an aggressive suspension package for the latest in SUV. The front suspension is tied together with front steering knuckles, massive crossmembers and an integrated 2 piece four-point skid plate.

The rear suspension features long arm technology from Skyjacker's Rock Ready line. It's suitable for both coil spring and air bag equipped models. 5.5" of lift is big enough for 39x12.50 tires, 17x9 wheels with 4.5" back spacing. Vehicles with 2-piece front drive shaft will require a new CV style joint for the driveshaft.
