RCD Suspension is pleased to announce the release of several new leveling shock applications in addition to previously offered units. The growing use of “strut” type front ends, and the demand for leveling kits is on the rise.  RCD Suspension has worked closely with Bilstein Shock Absorbers to develop performance applications to fulfill the need, all at very competitive pricing compared to spacer kits.

Anyone can make a spacer kit, and yes they are economical, but they add no performance to the application.  RCD Suspension has taken the top applications, studied the vehicle platforms, and produced applications that maximize the usable travel of the vehicle’s suspension system. By increasing the available travel and maximizing shock length, we are able to add “droop travel” to the system, thus increasing ride quality. In addition, spring preload is enhanced, increasing rate, and improving the handling and performance, getting rid of the stock mushy feel.

With the increase in travel, spring rate, and CG, comes the need for better shock valving, something no others do better than Bilstein. Each application is custom tuned and the result is vastly improved handling, performance, and the improved stance you want from a leveling kit.  

The front struts utilize the factory coils and have multiple snap ring grooves to adjust the ride height to stock, 1.25” or up to 2”. The rear shocks are stock length and both front and rear units are zinc /silver finished.

For those consumers that do not like the "nose down" look Tuff Country EZ-Ride Suspension's 2007-08 Chevy Silverado leveling kit is designed to easily and safely level the front of your truck. Using coil spring / strut spacers that are mounted above the factory coil / struts this kit maintains a near factory ride by not adding any additional pre-load on the struts. Will also allow for slighty larger tires (285/70R). Includes two coil / strut spacers and required hardware.

Torsion bar keys are designed as an easy solution to level trucks equipped with factory torsion bars. These easy to install replacement torsion keys reindex the factory torsion bars which lifts the truck without "cranking up" the factory torsion bars.

Fabtech's 2" leveling kit consists of aluminum spacers that bolt on top of the factory coilover to maintain the factory type ride. Works with or without autoride. Installation requires no welding or drilling and takes about 2 hours.

2" Kit allows clearance for a 33x12.50x17 tire with a 17x8 wheel with 4-5/8" backspacing.

  3450 1.25˝ Front Lift - This least expensive method utilizes a machined ring, called a preload ring, inserted below the factory shock’s coil spring.  In addition to lifting the vehicle, the preload rings slightly increase spring rate which helps offset the additional loads created by running wider tires / wheels, and firms up what would otherwise be “spongy” ride and handling characteristics.  If your vehicle is equipped with the factory Autoride electronic shock option, the preload ring lift method allows you to retain the factory shocks.
