Select Series
Superlift
turned their engineers loose with one goal: build the best riding,
most durable lift system possible for the Super Duty. Here's how they
did it . . .A higher leaf count spring allows the use of thinner leaf
material. The Select
Series springs are 10-leaf units. Using more leafs yields a
progressive leaf stack, which produces a much smoother spring rate
curve throughout the suspension cycle. The even, linear compression
rate curve of the Select
springs is the primary key to good ride quality. Additionally, as
overall spring pack thickness increases, the amount of arch that is
needed to attain a given lift height decreases. Reduced arch
translates into less inter-leaf friction and less shackle movement,
all of which improves ride quality. And, it is not a "one
spring rate for all" mentality; there are different designs for
trucks equipped with a V-8 gas engine or the heavier diesel and V-10.
Other design features include anti-friction pads inserted between the
leafs for a smoother ride and quiet operation, full military-wrapped
spring eyes for superior durability and functional urethane
compression travel stops.

All 2" leaf spring
lifts for Super Duty trucks are the Superide tapered leaf
springs, not the Select Series.
Kits
use rear blocks and/or add-a-leafs. Systems use rear leaf springs.
Upgrade kit to convert 8" lift into 10" lift.
Front kit includes
2" lift spring hanger/shackle system; front brake hoses;
adjustable track bar
Rear kit includes
3" lift block kit & u-bolts; rear shock bracket; heavy duty
rear compression travel control and load assist system.

Super Duty 10" Lift System Features: In an effort to keep spring arch to a minimum - remember
that reduced arch improves ride quality - we use our superb riding
8" lift Select Series front springs with our 2" lift spring hanger
/ shackle system. 7"
replacement rear springs and 2" lift blocks raise the rear.
The same areas that we address in our 8" system (steering and
track bar geometry, shock length, etc.) are addressed in the 10"
lift system, and then some. The 10" system also includes longer Bulletproof front brake
hoses, our adjustable track-bar for precise bar "phasing", and
rear dual shock brackets (the extra pair of rear shocks are ordered
separately). The 10"
lift includes 4 shocks.
An optional dual front shock system is available.
Another noteworthy component of the 10" system is Superlift's new
heavy-duty rear compression travel control and load assist system. Offered only by Superlift, the system utilizes specially
designed hollow rubber cushions that greatly improve rear suspension
ride quality and load control. Having
effective compression travel control allows the use of Superide
replacement rear leaf springs that offer a great ride, due primarily
to their relatively light spring rate.
The cushions assist only when operating conditions
call for extra spring rate - such as bad roads, hauling or towing.

If you have a Super Duty and either work
hard or play hard -- if you want a little lift or a lot -- Skyjacker has
designed a smooth performance system with your needs in mind. The
4" & 6" lifts include Softride springs, rear blocks or
leaf springs, front sway bar links& massive track bar drop brackets.
A pitman arm is required & sold separately.
The 8"
standard lift
include all of the above plus a power steering pitman arm, both front
and rear sway bar links, front & rear stainless steel braided brake
lines and a carrier bearing lowering kit.
The Softride springs
manufactured by Skyjacker use tapered leaves to yield a
lower spring rate and better travel, Teflon wear pads to
help reduce interleaf friction, a "bolt" style
clip to reduce leaf friction and shotpeening to compress
the steel and increase its tensile strength.

Skyjacker also offers a
6" & 8" Z-Link Coilover conversion for the Super Duty.
This system allows you to remove the factory equipped front leaf springs
and convert to a coil-over front suspension. This allows for greater
suspension travel and improved ride quality. This is an easy, bolt-o0n
installation only requiring you to drill 4 holes per side to convert to
the ultimate setup.
