In
1998 the Ranger
suspension was redesigned. This lift includes integrated crossmembers
to connect driver & passenger side bracketry. Drops differential
with new bracketry a full 4" to keep driveline geometry at
factory specs. Features patented dual rack steering system
incorporating second horizontal steering shaft connected to the OE
shaft via replacement bracketry. Rear add-a-leafs & blocks,
torsion bar drop brackets and shocks complete this package. Maximum
tire size 33x12.50 on stock rims.
Installation
of this lift will require replacement of the front driveshaft.
Trucks
with the Off Road package will only get 3.5" lift. |

The newest Ranger is basically a
smaller version of the new F150; both have torsion bars &
upper/lower control arms. The cast nodular iron knuckles are the
system's key. These Rangers have an odd tulip-style drive shaft used
for the front differential. These wear rapidly after the vehicle is
lifted & cause vibration over time. Expect the front drive
shaft to last no more than 20,000 miles after it's lifted.
Features:
-
Retails
factory ride equality, steering geometry & CV axle angles
-
Increases
wheel travel
-
New
nodular iron knuckles, not ball joint spacers
-
Load
bearing bracketry made of .25" thick plate steel or heavy-wall
tubing
-
Full
width differential/control arm crossmembers provide lateral rigidity
-
Front
& rear Superide shocks with yellow boots.
Superlift offers a heavy duty
replacement front drive shaft that incorporates a standard CV
joint at the transfer case for improved durability & longevity.
