Cognito Motorsports developed limiting straps to limit droop on GM truck and SUV models that used the factory upper control arms for this purpose rather than the shocks. With the addition of a 7-9" lift kit, this transfers the extra load to the upper ball joints resulting in premature wear, tear and failure. When installing Cognito upper control arms on these models, it is required to add the correct limiting straps based on the amount of additional suspension lift to avoid this problem.

The Cognito straps work for models with both single and dual front shocks. The limiting straps bolt on and are adjustable to fine tune the length to control the droop limit. Holes are required to be drilled to mount the upper end.
