In the process of adding a suspension lift kit to your Jeep Wrangler YJ, the fixed length of the factory track bar will not accommodate ride height adjustments. The purpose of the track bar is to provide stability and safety on the leaf spring Wrangler models. However, this also greatly reduces suspension travel. While removing the track bar will improve performance and articulation, the leaf springs and bushings will experience premature failure and unsafe conditions.
