Fabtech has designed a Crawler Long Arm system for the Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited that works properly without requiring continuous fabrication or constant maintenance. This lift kit was built for drivers looking to achieve maximum off-road performance that’s worry free compared to other aftermarket options. The Fabtech engineers have found the “sweet spot” geometry for mounting the Crawler’s 5 Ton Link Arms to the frame that’s critical to provide superior handling throughout the travel range. The full width crossmember that extends from frame rail to frame rail is key to mounting the front link arms with the correct geometry to provide additional strength for the lighter Wrangler JL frame during hard off-road use. New frame mounts on the side of the frame are provided for the rear links for increased approach angles and ground clearance. The lower link arms are guaranteed not to bend. Built using 2" OD .313 thick wall tubing, they include 5 Ton joints® with a lifetime guarantee to never wear out. These are superior for off-road use while providing a smooth and quiet street operation. Long travel dual rate coil springs made in America are designed to allow long travel when offroading while maintaining a smooth street ride. The first stage provides a soft ride with the ability to extend providing additional travel when needed. The second stage is designed to address large impact absorption when traveling at higher speeds and can handle the payload of the Jeep. To keep your Wrangler JL level side to side, each coil spring is corner specific. Steering geometry is maintained with a draglink flip system and a heavy duty track bar bracket allowing full articulation without binding in extreme conditions. The factory bump stops are retained and four bump stop extensions cushion at full compression. This retains the stock down travel thereby eliminating over-cycling of the suspension and driveline. To keep the factory sway bars operating within the factory planes, extended front and rear sway bar links are included. This will prevent the links and sway bar from going over center and creating bind at full travel extension. The factory steering geometry with the pitman arm is retained with a heavy duty draglink relocated on the steering knuckle. This eliminates bump steer and provides a bind-free operation at full articulation. The load on the steering box is not increased like a dropped pitman arm can. Dirt Logic 2.25 shock bodies have high grade 304 Stainless Steel construction for maximum resistance to corrosion. A finely detailed machine finish to the shock body provides a stunning appearance. The piston rod is a NitroSteel® material for superior corrosion resistance over chromed piston rods.
