1984-90 Cherokee XJ Heavy Duty Tie Rod upgrade kit

The factory steering link on the Cherokee XJ has an outside diameter of only one-half inch. With one wrong turn, the tie rod can easily bend affecting alignment permanently. Adding a lift kit, larger tires and wheels only amplifies the problem.

The Rough Country heavy duty one inch tie rod sleeves are the perfect companion to alleviate this problem. The 1" steel sleeve provides additional strength to prevent bending of the tie rod. The tie rod sleeve replaces the stock jam nut removing any handling issues. Installation takes about one hour.
